Citizen's Academy

The Chippewa Falls Citizen's Academy offers local residents the chance to experience the job of a police officer first hand.  During this multi-week program, participants are exposed to topics such as traffic stops, OWI enforcement, firearms, SWAT, and investigations.

Cookies with Cops

Officers from local law enforcement agencies invite local, at-risk youth to bake and decorate cookies.  These cookies are then delivered by the youth and officers to local nursing homes.  This event allows at-risk youth a chance to interact with law enforcement in a positive and fun environment.  Local businesses donate the ingredients, entertainment, and transportation for the event.

National Night Out

On National Night Out, the Chippewa Falls Police Department invites the community out to Irvine Park for a night of fun.  Police Officers are on hand to show-off their equipment and to interact with the community.  The night finishes with a movie--complete with snacks and refreshments.

Coffee with a Cop

In 2015, the Chippewa Falls Police Department began hosting "Coffee with a Cop" sessions at local coffeehouses.  Citizens are able to engage in open dialogue with police officers in order to better serve the community in a transparent manner.  There are no per-arranged agendas or set topics--just free cups of coffee.
