Chippewa Falls Named One of Wisconsin's Safest Cities -- 2nd Year Running

For the second year running, Chippewa Falls has been named one of Wisconsin's safest cities by the National Council for Home Safety and Security.

In 2017 Chippewa Falls ranked 45th and in 2018 that number was cut by over half to 22nd.

Speed Enforcement Initiative

The Chippewa Falls Police Department is partnering with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for increased speed enforcement during the summer months. In addition, the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department, Village of Cadott and Stanley Police Department are also participating in this effort.

"Be Your Best" Spring Award Winner: Sgt. Tom Wahl

Sgt. Wahl was selected as the winner of the REALiving Spring 2017 - Be Your Best Award for his outstanding work in numerous areas including with our local Honor Guard Team and the Wisconsin Honor Guard Association where he serves as Secretary. Sgt. Wahl was also instrumental in developing and running the CFPD Chaplains program. Additionally he developed and ran the CFPD Family Academy and has done great work in bringing attention to police mental health and wellness in our department.
